Whether you are looking for private instruction in baseball or softball, we have it
all.  We provide a very professional learning environment where we try to simplify all of our movements.  Our biggest goal is to teach muscle memory through continuous repetition of doing the exact same movement each time we practice.  Practice makes perfect; only if it's perfect practice!  We take the time and effort to break down these small mechanics one step at a time so that our athletes can retain the information and then execute.  By training our muscles to these new movements, this allows us to react to the situation in live games rather than thinking about what we need to do. No time to think!

Hitting
Our hitting philosophy follows a few simple steps.  We want to teach the fundamentals in a controlled step-by step approach.  By accomplishing this with our hitters, it will allow them to focus on one thing and one thing only.  What separates us from other indoor facilities is that we teach our students rather than tell theml. Our hitters must know why we want to do this new movement as opposed to what feels comfortable to them, why the proper way is better than their way, and knowing when they make a mistake.  Without our hitters understanding, it will be impossible for them to be successful.

It must be understood that we do not clone hitters.  We are here to help you find YOUR swing and stance.  The academy will fine tune your fundamentals to help improve balance, bat speed, staying through the ball, and emphasize on-base percentage.  Hitting is difficult and we try to make things simple, being short and quick to the ball while making sure we are ready to swing before the ball gets to us.

Pitching
Satchel Paige of the negro leagues would have been a very dominate force in Major League Baseball if the color barrier had been broken.  Paige said, "My pitching philosophy is simple-keep the ball away from the bat!"  We teach our pitchers to make it as difficult as possible for the hitter to key on the pitch.  Our basic philosophy is to emphasize location first, movement of the pitch second, and then velocity. Executing these principles will force the hitter to remain off balance and have him guessing time and time again.  Just as we teach our hitters, our pitchers must be able to recognize what causes a bad pitch and how to correct flaws in their mechanics. We want to teach our pitchers how to protect their arms.  Pre-hab instead of Re-hab is our philosophy; we want to take care of our arms before they get hurt.  With the proper mechanics that our instructors will teach, your child not only will be the best they can be but be healthy as well.

Defense/Catching
Offense wins the game but defense keeps us from losing.  We want to teach the students proper fundamentals using proper foot work and quick hands.  Our goal is to teach students how to "attack" the ball by charging and using our glove as well as squaring up to make a more accurate throw.

Catchers are the leader of the field!  We teach our students the proper way to receive the ball, keeping the ball in front, and the proper foot work along with the correct arm slot.  Our catchers are in control because they see the entire field at all times.  We must take control!
