Trail Blazer Kick Off Meeting 2001/2002

Greetings, fellow or potential
Trail Blazer dads!
Welcome to the 2001-2002 camping season.  For you veterans, this is going to be the best year yet.  For you first-timers, don't expect this to be like Indian Guides.  It is much, much better.  No tribes, no ceremonies, no Polar Bear swims.  Just a lot of adventure, laughs, and fun with your son.

We have scheduled as many tent camping events as possible.  This year, each event may include special Saturday activities, Friday or Saturday evening communal dining, and who knows maybe some special surprises.

Trail Blazers has always been a relatively small group.  Your son will have a bit more independence and really get to know the other boys.  You will have the opportunity to get out of the house and have some real active fun.  Certain events should be considered mandatory, including: Paintball, Rocket Camp, Agua Caliente, Big Bear Snow Boarding, and the 32 mile Colorado River canoe trip.  Bring your cameras and your Advil, these events will provide you with ample lifelong memories with your son.

The other events aren't bad either! They are Catalina Island, Raintree Ranch, Table Mountain, and possibly others, all of which are more enjoyable than similar Indian Guides events because of the small group setting.

Again, this is going to be a great year.  Make sure you attend as many events as possible, and expect to go home on Sunday regretting that the weekend ended so quickly.

I'm certainly looking forward to one more great year!

P.S.; If you really want to be involved I need a few dads to oversee a couple of activities, and someone to chair the program next year.  So shoot me an email. My experience has been the more active you are, the more fun it is.
