It is with great honor and priviledge to convey our warmest Aloha and Mahalo to our distinguished guest, Laoag City Mayor, Honorable Roger C. Farinas, Mrs. Farinas, our kababayans, and to all of you attending this special event, The 20th Anniversary and Installation of Officers of the United Laoaguenos of Hawaii.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to my fellow Officers and Members, for giving me the support, trust and confidence, to lead this organization for the coming two years of the millenium. I know we have a long road ahead of us, with great challenges and expectations. All I ask from you, is to take pride of being a member of this organization, uphold its honor and dignity, stregthen the bond among us, the warm fellowship we have and continue the unity of working together towards the accomplishment of our goals, which are: First, the Scholarship Assistance we award to deserving youth of active members to help them prepare for a better future. Second, the Mutual Aid Benefit given to the families of active members in their time of needs. Third, to preserve and promote our cultural heritage as Filipinos. And finally, to increase membership---we must recruit members who are willing to give time and effort for the good of the organization and to be actively involved in community activities and projects. With your help, my fellow officers and members, I'm confident that we'll get the job done.
Lastly, my sincere appreciation to all my hard working committees and to each and everyone, thank you very much!
