The 21st Ohio Volunteer Infantry was raised out of northwestern Ohio in 1861 at the beginning of the Civil War to defend the Union. The men fought bravely for the duration of the war and distinguished themselves at such battles as Stones River, Chickamauga, and Bentonville. The reenactors of the 21st Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Co. A, strive to preserve the memory of the sacrifice of these brave Buckeyes through research and educational opportunities. |
