Fry Bread (my families version)

This is a diverse food that can be used for everything from breakfast to dessert, you can add things or change it, it is a survival food)

1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
hot fat or oil for frying, or a fryer

Sift dry ingredients.  Slowly stir in milk.  Add more flour as needed to make dough you can handle (it can get surly).  Kneed and work the dough on a floured board.  Pinch off fist sized balls and shape.  Everyone has their own shape and shape affects the flavor.  For Indian Tacos, make the disk more flat and very thin in the middle.  Fry until golden brown and drain on paper towel.
