This aircraft was originally from the Connie.

Another great looking restored aircraft.

Some Naval helicopters were flying by on their way to NAS North Island.

Me with the ship's anchor. Notice how small I am compared to the anchor, which is on its side.

The end of the road.
A destroyer coming into port.

I remember when US Navy vessels did not have to be escorted by machine gun-toting patrol craft.

A closer photo.
One of the catapults.

At least one of the catapult rails will be reinstalled.

I can't wait until the deck is lined with aircraft.
Operation Desert Storm sign right off of the flight deck.

Another little mural.

Looking out across the flight deck from the superstructure. The mast of the passing destroyer is visible.

This is a sign in the ship's galley.

One of the massive bomb elevator doors in the galley.

Pri-Fly! This was the room I spent much of the day cleaning up.

The Air Boss sat at left, assistant Air Boss at right.

On this day I got to meet the Midway Air Boss Vern Jumper who sat in that chair in 1975 during the Saigon Airlift. His name is Vern and he had some very interesting stories...

The view to aft.

View toards the bow.
