Coincidentally, the wheel was transported over from the loft at NAS North Island on this day. It was later installed.

On this day I only took one photo. You can see why I couldn't resist.

-Superstructure-

Up above the bridge I got a great view of an aircraft carrier leaving NAS North Island.

It isn't too often you can get four aircraft carriers in the same picture.

Left to right: CVN-70, U.S.S. Carl Vinson; CVN-74, U.S.S. John C. Stennis; CVN-65, USS Enterprise; and of course in the foreground, CV-41, the U.S.S. Midway.

How about four carriers and a frigate?

One departing, one arriving.
