Welcome to the Emerald Coast, Destin, and the World's Luckiest Fishing Village! Destin started out as a small fishing village and has remained so throughout the years. The fishing is great here on the Emerald Coast as many fishermen and fisherwomen would tell you. Jennifer and I come the first of October just to be able to fish in the Destin Fishing Rodeo, which runs through the whole month of October. The rodeo brings in approximately 30,000 fishing enthusiaists during the month of October. The fishing doesn't end in October though. Many of the boat captains will gladly fire up their boat engines and take you out for a day or half day of fishing all winter long. Fishing is available on two party boats.

The Sweet Jody offers 7 hour trips for the cost of $30.00 for Seniors. 8 hour trips are available also on certain days for $40.00 for Seniors.

The Destin Princess offers 6 hour trips for a cost of $35.00 for Seniors and 8 hour trips on Wednesdays and Saturdays for $50.00 for Seniors. Cruises are available on the Sweet Jody (such as Sunset, Happy Hour, etc.) for a reasonable price. Entertainment on board is also available. So put a group of friends together for either a fishing trip or a cruise and I will be glad to arrange it for you. Phone number and email address appear above.

The SWOOP is offering Mondays and Wednesdays for Snowbirds for $35.00 per person for a 6 hour trip. They will go other days whenever there is a group of 15 or more. The new FLORIDA GIRL is offering the Snowbirds an 8 hour trip for $36.00.
