| - Most of Iraq's Assault rifles are AK-47's (Which are Russian) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - Iraq's Tanks are also mainly Russian (T-72's I think) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - The majority of material for Iraq's former Nuclear program was supplied by France | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - Saddam still hasn't finished paying off quite a few of his debts, and the countries that he owes worry that they won't get paid if he is taken out of power (eg. France, Russia) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - In the late 1980's, the USSR (Russia), France, and China accounted for over 21 Billion dollars in arms sales to Iraq. The rest of the world accounted for less then 8 Billion. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
