Course Description
This course
is designed for fourth year students. The pedagogy takes the form
of lectures, discussions, collaborative and individual activities.
The students enrolled in this class are expected to acquire the
basic skills in writing research papers. By applying basic research
skills into practice can help students better appreciate the process
involved in research writing, and hopefully, experience the personal
gratification of completing a research writing project on their
own. Students in this class will also be required to create and
maintain their individual online journals or blogs. They will also
be required to join Elizabeth Hanson-Smith's Academic Writing group
to collaborate with other writing students from different countries
to share their experiences, hone their basic writing skills by taking
the online quizzes, and to personally evaluate their own improvements.
