What would good have to prove?
Without the thrill of the hunt,
Who’d make the first move?
What good is happy;
If you never know sad?
What good is good;
If you can’t compare it to bad?
Would Heaven be paradise;
Without Hell to fear?
Far can’t be determined,
Without establishing near.
Success rarely comes;
Without failure in tow.
You’ll never learn;
Till you admit you don’t know.
So many mismatches;
Everyday can reveal;
In an ongoing battle;
Of good versus evil.
