He told Me this article stated the Railroad received a GRANT for $90,000,000.00 to "repair" Railroad Crossings!
PLEASE; Let that sink in for a bit!!
A GRANT is money that DOES NOT have to be paid back! So, if this article is true, the Railroad has FREE money to rapair Thier Crossings. They do NOT have to raise rates to pay for the repairs, They do NOT have to worry over the cost of Labor, Materials, or anything else, so WHY are these Crossings so DANGEROUS? Just where the HELL has all that money gone to? Because it sure hasn't made it to the Crossings!!
I 'wonder' how many Railroad Excutives are "enjoying" perks from that Grant, like new Cars, Boats, Planes, or Homes (?) while Our friends, Fathers, Mothers, Brothers, Sisters, Sons, and/or Daughters are being put at risk when they use those substandard Crossings the Grant MONEY was supposed to fix.
Like I stated earlier, a Grant is free money. However, Whomever is given the grant money is obligated to SHOW where that money went, if They ever want another one in the futher. I think it is way past time to demand an accounting!
Another point I wish for You to consider is this: I feel this type of situation should warrant CRIMINAL CHARGES too! Beyond the obvious fraud to get the Grant, there should be charges of Criminal Neglect at least, if not out right attempted murder.
We MUST do something about this or We deserve what happens to us! Tell a Friend, write, call, or e-mail Your "Law Makers" because, if enough of Us do something to Show our OUTRAGE, things can and will change!
And Yes, I know I sound desperate, but that is only because I am. I know too well the feeling 'It can't happen to Me!' I used it for YEARS. What I would truly like to do is give You motivation to do something to help all of Us BEFORE You have to experience the grief for Yourself.
