The Adventures of Paolo Coqui Book 1 Excerpts

Synopsis: Paolo is a young common coqui from a grove west of El Yunque National Forest on the island of Boriken (Puerto Rico). One day Paolo's life is changed forever when a golden coqui named Maria hops into his life. Maria lives in El Yunque and quickly invites Paolo to journey to El Yunque. But will the shy Paolo have the courage to leave his home grove, the only home he's ever known to follow Maria? Find out in Book 1 of the Adventures of Paolo Coqui.

slide 1:	Paolo sat underneath a cool tree, relaxing happily. It was lunch time and he had just eaten lots of mosquitoes. It was a good day. The wind blew gently and there was always lots to eat. Last night's rain brought out the best, most juicy mosquitoes. Life was good. Nothing could beat today, thought Paolo.
slide 5:	"Coqui, I'm Maria," she said. "Coqui, where did you come from? I never seen a frog quite like you before, " he asked. He had never before left the small forest he was born in. "Coqui, that way," she pointed east. "There is a forest that way from here. Maybe a few days if you are not in big hurry" "What is over there?" he asked.
