Roof Tool bin |
My very first mod. Once I got to see the X the very first time, I knew the original console would be way too small. The hunt was on and found the perfect swap. I believe I was the first to do it.. I know many have followed.. Click on Pic for Install |
The high roof line of the X allows for some extra storage. While others have used a mesh shelf, I liked the look of a closed bin. Not my concept, but it is nifty. I have since removed it, only because of having 2 dogs in the back, they needed the head room. Click on Pic for Install |
A place for everything, and everything in its place, and I hate wasting space. I just cut off the top handles of a tool tray from a tool box, made a perfect drawer for under the passenger seat. Perfect for my traction aids. |
Folding Bags |
SUV's are great for cargo, but small things fly. Made by Case Logic, this bag will fold from a 14"x12"x1" Folder to a 24"x13"x12" deep bag with a built in zippered top. Even has Velco in the bottom so it doesn't slip around. Easy to store and pull out when needed. Even the X has to get groceries sometimes :-) |
Cubby Bags |
OK, so I'm a Nut Bag.. or is that Bag Nut (?) The X has enough places to store stuff, if you can actually keep the items in there and not fall out. Case in point, the 2 rear chubby holes in the back. I have no idea what the 1" lip is supposed to hold in. After a little searching, I finally found some bags and a local dollar/junk store with the same dimensions as the hole, and now the lip actually locks it into place. Great for bungies and all the small odds & ends. Sorry, no model & make, but keep it in mind its a travel toiletry bag. |

Bungie Roof |
Nothing that great, but I bought bungie rope on a roll and cut them all to length as needed and added the hook ends. Then went from one cargo hook to every other hook to form the pattern. Helps hold small light items out of the way. I switched my old ceiling hooks to the newer versions, it makes it much easier to remove any bungie length I might need. |
Cargo / Saddle Bags |
I like to carry everything I might need, but need maximum cargo space. I replaced the carpet tabs with mirror mounts and added nylon loops to hold the net tight. Easier to manage than a tool bin, with these 4 bags, I carry just about everything from mechanical, recovery to electrical. When I fold my seats down, they all fit into the rear foot well area. Seatback Aprons |
OK.. I still carry too much Some things I need daily.. small stuff Sunglasses, kleenex, Papers Just one way of keeping everything handy Matches the seatcover quite nicely. |
