Ascot Clef Emeraude Ferio Fuu Hikaru Mokona Presea Umi

Clef Clef is one of the first people that Hikaru, Umi and Fuu encounter when they first enter Cephiro. He tells them that they have each been summoned by the princess to become the legendary Magic Knights. Clef tells them they each have the potentiol to use magic but, only has time to teach Hikaru. Suddenly, Alcione appears and a fight breaks out, and when Clef's back is turned he is deviously turned to stone.

Though he is turned to stone, Clef(who is 745 years old), talks to the girls through Mokona. He then gets the chance to teach Umi and Fuu how to use their magic. Everyone in Cephiro seems to know of Clef. He is very powerful, even though he looks like a tiny child.

Clef teaches magic to those who have potentiol to use it. He also taught Alcione magic, but, she turned hers into evil, using it to help Zagato. Clef promised Emeraude that he would guide the girls summoned from another world to become magic knights. As, the girls find out, he has done a very good job of that. He had already talked to quite a few people , for example Presea(to make their weapons.) And though he is turned into stone, he still keeps his promise.
