Hikaru Hikaru is the strong fighter of the Magic Knights. She uses the power of fire. Hikaru will stand up against any enemy no matter what to protect her friends. She felt bad when Presea died making their weapons and she promised to never forget that Presea gave her life to make those weapons.

Hikaru was the first one to learn how to use magic and is usually the first one fighting and the last one standing. Hikaru will fight when the other girls are timid and try to run away. She uses her magic and stregnth well and uses teamwork. In presea's home she easily defeated a monster, because Fuu remarked that it looked as if it was made of mud.She then led it into the water.

In the temple of her Rune God, Rayearth, Lord Zagato attacks Hikaru , Umi, and Fuu. Their armor dissapears and they have no chance. Lafarga joins them and Hikaru tries hard to protect them and when Lord Zagato tries to kill him with magic, Hikaru jumps in front of Lafarge, armorless, to protect him. Lafarga covers Hikaru as Zagato attacks and he collapses. Hikaru is seconds away from being killed when Rayearth appears and stands to protect her.
