Introduction

Birmingham, Alabama's Sloss Furnace was a mass producer of Iron for the entire United States during the Industrial Revolution. It ran through the late 1800's to the late 1900's. Finally, when it was decided that Sloss could no longer make money, it was closed in 1971. The furnance made many supplies, but it is mostly famous for it's Iron production. Even though it is not a functional furnace any more, Sloss still continues to gain popularity and hype every day. To learn more continue onto the lore surronding Sloss.
