A map of Taiwan Formosa ("beautiful"). I spent most of my time at the north end in Taipei, with a one-day excursion to the east coast city of Hualien.

I got this vase from the weekly Weekend Flower and Jade market. The Taiwanese and Chinese buy jade for its value. As neither Albert nor I knew "good" jade from "bad" jade, we just looked, buying flowers instead, and this flower repository.
