Yvette's Trip to Taiwan, July 2000
CKS Memorial Hall

CKS Memorial Hall is about 4 miles from Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall, and having nothing better to do on a Sunday, I walked it. On my way, I passed a park and thought it would be nice to wander through and perhaps sit down and stretch my back for a few minutes.

I guess rollerblading is still big in Taiwan. The girls are practicing and entertaining the crowd to choice songs like Brittany Spears' "Oops, I did it again". Ooops, I think I'm going to gag again.

The guy in the foreground is teaching the little ones how to stop, turn and go backwards. The guy in the background to the left is the dancing leader.

CKS Memorial Hall consists of the actual memorial, a theatre and a concert hall. The area is enclosed in a white and blue brick wall. Just inside the brick wall is fenced foliage and resting benches.

The side of the actual CKS Memorial Hall. There are also two guards here, like at the Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall. But here, I got to see the changing of the guard, which took a good 20 minutes. Of course, I was out of film!

To each side of the stairs are arched doorways. Inside are paintings and cars from the CKS reign.
