ABOUT YPBI
What is YPBI?
The Youth
Peacebuilding Initiative (YPBI) was conceived in 1994 as a response of
the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) youth programme to the desire
of the member churches and associated national Christian councils to own
the AACC as expressed at the AACC General Assembly held in Harare, Zimbabwe
(1993). At the initial stage of the process, there was a focus on building
a culture of peace (1995). Much effort was exerted in the leadership training
under the theme: leadership is a peace mission. A process was concurrently
set in motion which resulted in the production of the Youth Peace Training
Manual
