'Yume No Sora' is japanese for 'Sky of Dreams'.
What is the meaning behind 'Sky of Dreams' and how is it connected to Sendoh, Rukawa, Fujima, or SD?
I named this shrine 'Sky of Dreams' because one of the more general reasons why I like SD so much is because it is basically about people going through a lot and learning a lot along the road of achieving their dreams. I think that life is nothing if you don't have dreams, and that there are many people out there who work very hard, and go through many hard times, to achieve them. SD is a basketball-themed story of courage, hardships, friendship, love, and dreams - and I believe that the characters in SD are good examples to look up to and tell ourselves not to give up when striving for our dreams. There are so many characters in SD who have been through a huge amount of sadness and difficult times to try and be the best in basketball, and when watching or reading SD I sometimes feel very touched by this - by these characters' sadness, inner strength, and persistence, by their dedication to basketball. And this is one of the four reasons why I named this shrine 'Sky of Dreams'.
The second reason is because of basketball. You know when you take a shot (or a 3 point shot..hehe), you jump up and toss the ball really high into the sky, and the ball traces a hooked arc - I was thinking about if this scene was captured on camera - the ball suspended in the sky and the person suspended above the ground - that would be pretty cool ^_^. Umm...basically, I was thinking about a basketball being tossed and suspended in the sky...and the person waiting for it to go in...the basketball represents a dream...and the sky is just the space which the dream is worked at. Okay, I'm not making sense as usual...haha... ^_~ Erm, to put it more simply , I'm just trying to refer subtlely to Basketball....hehe...
Another reason why I gave this site its name is because the things contained within the site are non-existent, are fantasies and 'dreams'. SD and the cast are part of a different reality - they are merely 'dreams' in this reality of daily life.
The other less serious reason why I chose this name is because of the only appearance-linked thing that Sendoh, Rukawa, and Fujima have in common. Can you guys figure out what it is? Haha... ^_^ ....they all have blue eyes!! 'Sky of Dreams' - the sky is blue...get it? haha... ^.~ Anyway...
Why did you start this site?
I started this site because I want to have more contact with SD fans out there! ^_^ You see, the trend over here changes so quickly that practically no one even remembers SD anymore >_< And my friends certainly don't understand why I like it that much..haha.. ^_^" I want to meet more people who like SD and maybe get some fanart or fanfics to post on this site, or even try to write something myself, so I can actually make some type of contribution to the fanworld of SD... ^_~. LOL, after seeing so many SD fansites, you want to become a part of it as well, you get what I mean? Hehe.. ^_^ Plus I found the end of SD quite ..umm..how shall I put it....unsatisfactory..??...so the characters and their lives are still dangling about in my head...and I need to do something with these ideas or occupy my mind with something else...so I started this site..!! ^_^ Oh yeah, and how could I forget the most obvious reason? Because I started this site in the summer holidays when I was bored stiff and had so much time on my hands that I was going out of my mind.... haha...^_^"
What can we expect here at this site?
Well, umm...I don't think you should expect much..hehe...I'm the type of person who does something for a while and then either forgets or gives up...^_^" but I'll try to update this site as much as possible and add in more into *:+:-imagination-:+:* now and then....and seeing how much crap I say and think..hehe...I think there'll be a lot in *:+:ramblings-:+:*...!! ^_^ Anyway, I really hope *:+:-Yume no Sora-:+:* will work out in the long run...! ^_^ I really hope that after a while...people might start sending their fics or art to me to post on here...*hint hint*.. ^_~ oh well....I intend to keep this site pretty clean..no hentai stuff!! >_< call me a little girl but I can't stand hentai stuff...or yaoi doujinshi for that matter...urrghh!! >.< But moderately yaoi fanfics are all right....esp. Ruhana.. ^_~
