Link was tired. He had been traveling all day and now the sun was setting. After Link had left Termina, the Deku, Goron, and Zora masks did not disappear, as he expected. Although they didn't disappear, they also did not work, for Link had tried just for fun. However, there was another mask that did not disappear. It still had the same strange feel to it, while the other transformation masks had lost that quality. It was the Fierce Deity's Mask. The sun was beginning to set, so Link dismounted Epona. He looked around, and spotted a cluster of trees not to far off. I will camp there for the night, where I will have extra protection from the wild beasts, thought Link. He once again mounted Epona and rode to the trees he had seen. When he got there, he tied Epona to one of the trees and cleared the wood chips away from the spot where he was going to sleep. Epona laid down. But Link did not feel like sleeping. Instead, he looked around and thought, it's good to be back in Hyrule. Suddenly Link felt a strange vibration. It was coming from the Fierce Deity's mask. Link pulled it out and looked at it. The eyes were glowing a brilliant white, and it scared Link. Then he felt strange. The hairs on his neck stood straight up. Someone was watching him. Link whirled around, but no one was there. Little did Link know that not behind him, but above him, another pair of eyes were glowing brilliantly. Only they were glowing yellow. Link stood up, his sword drawn. The night was still. And quiet. I don't like this, thought Link. "Who's there? Come out and fight!" shouted Link. Nothing happened. After a while, he laid down, and tucked the Fierce Deity's mask under him. If this is what they want, they can't get it, thought Link. The pair of eyes advanced from above. Link jumped up. He gasped in surprise. It couldn't be...
