About Runequest

Runequest is a Fantasy Role-Playing Game (RPG) which is set in a bronze-age world called Glorantha. Glorantha differs greatly from most fantasy worlds as it is not based on the works of Tolkien, and the common races and creatures that dwell in Glorantha are so far from the norm. Even though Runequest is one of the oldest RPGs around (it came to the UK shortly after the infamous Dungeons & Dragons) it is still like a breath of fresh air to play.

Walk its lands; meet Trolls who are not brainless cannon fodder but frighteningly powerful and cunning; Elves who are not men in green suits but weird half-plants; Dwarves who don't go round drinking beer and singing about gold but who are more like machines, single-minded and dedicated to repairing the "World Machine"; and the fearsome Broos, devotees of Chaos who will rape and impregnate man or beast, male or female in order to create more of their kind to destroy the world.

The Pavis Campaign

My main campaign is set in the city of Pavis. Pavis is a city in two parts. The part commonly called Pavis by outsiders is relatively new, having been built about 70 years ago. Locals call this "New Pavis" or "Pavis outside the walls", where the walls referred to are those around Pavis proper is now an ancient ruin more commonly known as "The Rubble".

This particular campaign is set around a group of people who are working for or in the interest of the Pavis temple, and the restoration of the once glorious city.
