Siryn is the current deputy leader of X-Force, which just recently started to mean something(Hopefully they won't pull a Storm on her).

She was born in her family's castle in County Mayo, Ireland. Her mother Maeve Rourke, was killed in an IRA bombing a few months later, and Sean Cassidy, aka Banshee, who is currently the headmaster of Generation X and used to be an enemy of the X-Men and then an X-Man himself at sporadic intervals. Sean was away on an INTERPOL mission when Theresa was born, starting shortly after Maeve got pregnant, but before anyone knew about it. He got back after Maeve had been killed, and was so heart-broken he left home before he found out he had a baby daughter back at the castle. So his cousin, Tom Cassidy, a criminal who was recently killed by Penance after going nuts and kidnapping Sean's students, raised Theresa.

When she was twelve, he sent her to boarding school to keep her from finding out about his illegal activities. She was angry about being sent away, and subsequently started drinking at 13, resulting in alcoholism that would plague her for many more years (SHE'S A LUSH I TELL YA).

Tom was arrested for black market activities when Theresa was 15, exacerbating her drinking problem. Tom met Juggernaut when he was in prison, and the two of them broke out, and took Theresa on a crime spree in San Francisco, where they ran into Spider-Woman and the X-Men. Tom and Juggernaut were defeated, and Theresa was taken to the X-Mansion, where she met her father, who was beyond thrilled to see her. Oh yeah, and Tom raised Theresa to believe her father was dead along with her mother, but later on told her the truth. Terry and Sean went to Muir Island, where Terry met a renegade dupe of Jamie Madrox (no accounting for taste), and the sparks flew!

They joined the Fallen Angels later on, and then returned to Muir Island, until the dupe went bad and disappeared back into Madrox' body. When the Shadow King attacked Muir Island, he was none too kind to Theresa, in fact he tormented her something awful, which made her drinking even worse, and she subsequently joined X-Force after helping them put a stop to Tom and Juggernaut's shenanigans at the World Trade Center.

James Proudstar, aka Warpath, took a liking to her, and made her realize she had a very bad alcohol problem. She invited him to visit her home with her, where he beat her over the head for two weeks until she confronted her uncle Tom and quit drinking like good Irish girls should. Whether or not she knew how he felt about her is cloudy, but they didn't go very far, but just recently Theresa has decided she wants James to be with her, after he had a fling with another woman after getting tired of waiting for Terry. And since James almost died, they're closer than ever! Terry said he's the person closest to her in the world, and she can't imagine what her life would be like without him (yuck).

Anyway, just after the AoA, Cable gave Theresa an assignment to go undercover into the Weisman Institute for the Criminally Insane and steal some computer disks from Doctor Weisman, a psychiatrist possessed by an omnipath named Gamesmaster. She got caught, and couldn't get out because her powers were inhibited, so she called up her good friend Deadpool (wink wink) and he busted her out, so she got the position of deputy leader of X-Force to replace Cannonball, who had recently "graduated" (bah!) to the X-Men. She was entangled with Deadpool for awhile, but recently blew him off and told him to soak his head after he came looking for her and picked a fight with James to get her attention.

Since Cable and Domino left, Siryn has become leader of the team.
