About Laser Commandos:We are a league located in northwest PA. We play whenever we get a chance, and have played against other leagues. We use mainly V2 gear, with some Laser Command gear, Radar Extreme, and Gotcha Extreme. We allow modifications to guns within reason. More info about us can be found below.

History of Laser Commandos:It all started out with the fun weapons from Nerf. My sister and I would play that constantly. We eventualy had built up a small arsenal, but started to see some drawbacks. First off, the range of the weapons weren't good enough for us, and second, trying to rescue you're ammo without getting hit was tiresome. We also had the basic problem of loosing ammo, and the ammo getting damaged. So we got bored with Nerf. Then Toymax comes out with a laser tag system called Laser Challenge. This is my first time seeing something like this (that I can remember). Well after some serious persuasion to our dad (didn't like us running with gun type things), we got a set. It was a patrol set for each of us. Then it was downhill from there. Everytime Toymax released a new type of gear, we were one of the first to get it. Although we didn't get some gear (like Laser Alley, the pro walkie talkies, and the BARTs) we did get the majority of the lines. When we reached the V2 level, we had some older gear that we used along with it. I tried getting some of my friends to play. Mike R. finally jumped in and started playing, and at first we let him borrow our original gear, but then for christmas he got his own stuff! For a while it was the three of us, but eventually we got some hardcore players and they come to almost every game. You can see at the very bottom who currently plays in our league.

Rules
  1. Borders
While there are no real borders, there may be some off-limit places. Avoid these places, and try not go go too far from the main playing area.

  2. Death
When you die, return to the designated death spot (normally the garage or porch) and wait for the game to be over. You cannot talk or interfere with any of the live players, just the other dead ones. It is also good if you have a way to identify the dead players en transit to the death spot (i.e. raised hands).

  3. Guns - Qualifications
Laser Challenge guns and Laser Challenge compatible guns are allowed on two conditions:
    1) They must have sound in the daytime
    2) The must have lights or sound at night.
If guns meet these qualifications for the time the game is being played, they are allowed to be used. Modified weapons are allowed as long as they meet those qualifications too.

  4. New Players
It is understood that when you first play, you won't be good at it. It normally takes 2 or 3 games to become pretty well versed at it. New players will be assisted by the expereinced ones. Each new person will recieve a guide. If there happens to be more new people then experts, they will be paired up. The guide is responsible for teaching the new player all the aspects of the game. The guide will help the new player the duration of time they are there. New players will be given reset disabled guns. This will ensure they don't accidently reset themselves or others.

  5. Physical Contact
There will be no physical contact between opposing teams during a game. You cannot knock them over, steal their weapon, or hold them in place. You must stay at least 3 feet from them at all times.

  6. Starting a Game
When the game is ready to begin, everyone turns or resets their vest at the same time (or close to the same time) and they have till the blast shield available alert sounds, then the game begins.

  7. Time Outs
You can call a time out if you hurt yourself by falling, hitting something, or any other means of injury. If you see someone get injured, you can call a time out. When a time out is called, you stop playing and help the person out. If the person is ok, everyone MUST return to his or her position when the time out was called. If the person is not ok, he/she should be assisted to the dead spot, and checked out. If they really seem in bad condition, medical help should be contacted.

  8. Treatment - Between Players
Every person should be respectable to each other, even if there are previous hostilities between players. If I see excessive rudeness or torment toward a player or players, that person will be banned from attending for a period of time or permanently.

  9. Treatment - Equipment
Equipment borrowed from me or someone who has extra should be treated as best as possible. It is understood that accidents do happen. This game is about hiding and strategy. Equipment will get nicked and scratched from use. This is ok by me, but LC V2 equipment is becoming rare, and in the future, this might be a problem.

  10. Vest - Deactivation
If your vest gets deactivated by being shot 10 times, getting reset, or getting turned off, return to the dead spot. Even if you accidentally reset it, go to the dead spot. No exceptions will be made.

  11. Vest - Hiding
You are not allowed to "hide" your vest with your hands or anything else you carry. You are allowed to hide your vest behind objects such as trees and structures, and shoot around them.

  12. Walkie Talkies
Walkie Talkies are allowed to be used during games. Both teams should have them, if one team doesn't want to use them, they don't have to. The teams must stay on their own channels, and aren't allowed to "tap" into their opponent's channel. To ensure privacy, teams should make up their own code words to use in place of regular ones.
