Elizabeth Manicom Greenaway

Elizabeth MANICOM was born Feb 23 1873 in St Breward Cornwall England,
the only daughter of Edward Charles MANICOM and Mary GEAKE.

In the 1881 CENSUS,
Elizabeth and her brothers William & James
were living with their maternal grandmother, Mary Baker GEAKE and unmarried Aunt Jane
in Churchtown St Breward Cornwall.

Their parents Edward Charles MANICOM & Mary GEAKE had both died very young :-(

Elizabeth's eldest brother, William Geake MANICOM
was married in Jacobstow on Jun 23 1890 to Elizabeth Ann HOOPER.

A tragic event took place on Mar 20 1893
when Elizabeth & William's only brother, James, died at the age of 24.

James was a journeyman tailor, taking after his grandfather James.

The cause of death is listed as:
PHTHISIS and exhaustion ....
otherwise known as tuberculosis in modern day terms.

Elizabeth & Leneva had 4 children:

1) Edward George born Sep 17 1903
married Apr 18 1936 to Annie Eveline SEARLE (1 child)
Edward died Dec 25 1986


2) Mary Priscilla born Jul 13 1906
married Nov 30 1935 to William Charles SLOCOMBE (2 children)
Mary died Sep 1976

3) Leneva John born Jun 9 1908
married Apr 21 1930 to Elsie Mae BROADFOOT
Leneva died Mar 2 1988


4) Elizabeth Jane born Dec 13 1910
buried Dec 19 1910
