This recipe is one I make for our family get togethers and was given a rave revue by one of my sisters when she said it tasted like the egg custard our great grandmother made......WOW!
EGG CUSTARD
1-3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbs butter
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 cups + 2 Tbs. milk
6 eggs
Cream butter, sugar & ntmeg.Add 3 eggs & beat 3 minutes. Add next 3 eggs & beat 3 more minutes. Add milk & beat well. Pour into 9" deep dish pie shell, sprinkle with nutmeg & bake at 300-350° unti set & it shakes in the middle.

PECAN PIE
1-1/2 cup pecans (coated in 1 tsp. flour)
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup karo syrup
3 whole eggs (beaten)
1 tsp. vanilla
I bowl, mix sugar, syrup, eggs & vanilla well. Stir in nuts. Pour in 9" unbaked pie shell & bake at 350° until set.

GEORGE WASHINGTON CHERRY CAKE
1-1/2 cup sugar
1 cup sour milk
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs, beaten
pinch of salt
2 cups flour
1 cup sour cherries
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp.cinnamon
1 tsp.cloves
1 tsp.nutmeg
1 tsp.vanilla
Cream butter and sugar well; add beaten eggs. Add soda to sour milk, then stir flour, spices and mik alternately to creamed mixture. Simmer cherries on stove and sweeten to taste. Cool, drain cherry juice off and add cherries, vanila and nuts to above ingredients. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

SUICIDE CAKE
yellow cake mix
bananas
vanilla pudding mix
chopped nuts
whipped topping
marachino cherries
punch bowl
Prepare cake mix and pudding as directed on boxes. crumble some of the cake in bottom of punch bowl. Pour some of the prepared pudding on top,layer sliced bananas and another layer of cake and so on until cake is used up. Top with whipped topping and garnish with cherries and chopped nuts. Don't eat to much or you won't be able to move for awhile

This recipe was given to me years ago by a lady I used to work for. I can't remember her name but it is an excellent recipe and fairly easy to make.
MILLION DOLLAR PIE
2 graham cracker crusts
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 cup coconut
1 cup pecans
1 small can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 large can whipped cream
Mix milkand lemon juice. Add allthe rest of the ingredients. Mix very well and pour into pie shells. Top with whipped cream and refrigerate for 3 hours.

This recipe is the first I have ever seen for a cake that you mix up and bake in the same pan. The first time I read through it, I thought it sounded so goofy. When you get it finished, you have a cake sitting in pudding. It is sooooo good!
CHOCOLATE PUDDING CAKE
CAKE:
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup milk
3 Tbsp. melted margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift together sugar, flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa in a 9" baking pan. Stir in milk, vanilla and margarine.
TOPPING:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1-1/2 cup water
Mix sugars and cocoa and sprinkle over batter. Pour water over all of this and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

This recipe is one that my brother Randy Hutson makes and it is really good. It takes some doing to get it done but is well worth the effort.
COCONUT CRUNCH APPLE PIE
9" unbaked pie shell
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed firmly
2 Tbs. flour
1/2 tsp.cinnamon
5 cups peeled & sliced apples
2 Tbs. butter
2 cups shredded coconut
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Combine 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar,flour and cinnamon. Place half the apples in pie shell. Sprinkle with half the sugar spice mixture. Heap on remaining apples and sprinkle with remaining sugar spice mixture. Dot with butter. Cut 2 layers of aluminum foil to coverfilling only. Bake, foil covered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Combine coconut, egg, 1/2 cup sugar, milk and salt. Remove foil from pie and and spread coconut mixture on top and return to oven to bake an additional 30 minutes.
