WE SUPPORT EPN, YOU SHOULD TOO!

Every Monday in New Holland, PA, between 200-400 horses are sold at auction. Approximately 70% are sold to killer buyers. These slaughter bound horses deserve to be, and need to be, transported in vehicles that meet equine industry standards and using methods that meet equine industry standards.

The Equine Placement Network (EPN) is a Pennsylvania based advocacy group whose members are horsemen. EPN is currently working to have legislation passed in Pennsylvania regulating the transportation of horses to slaughter, making it safe and humane.

Thanks to the efforts of EPN we are kept up to date on what is happening at New Holland and what is being done about the double decker trucks.  They supply names and addresses of who to write to to complain about the situations, as well as who to write and thank for doing what should be done.  Their website is loaded with information and documentation (including pictures) of New Holland, the blatant abuse, and who is doing what about it.
