LINKS TO HELP YOU, YOUR HORSE, AND HORSES EVERYWHERE

Training links
This list of training links offers tips on several different training methods.  We believe there is no right or wrong method to training a horse as long as it is done with love, kindness and patience.

Stolen horse information
With the increase of horse theft on the rise and so many people reporting that their horses have been stolen, many sites have been put up to help in finding these animals.  We have listed many of the sites here that offer descriptions and pictures of these animals as well as downloadable flyers.

This fantastic site list animals (and other items) that have been lost or found. It is searchable by country so no matter where you live you can still use this database to find your animal.  You will need to sign up for a user name and password, but there is no charge for this service. Click on the graphic and check it out.

Vet & health links
These links are posted only as a guideline for minor problems and basic info on certain conditions.  As always, your veternarian should be consulted for any health problems with your horse.

Chatrooms, Mailing Lists & Bulletin Boards
Here you will find a listing of chatrooms, mailing lists, and bulletin boards that are both informative and helpful to new and experienced horse owners.

The following links will take you to sites that will enable you to help other horses just by being informed.  Please visit these sites and show your support by signing guest books, writing letters to appropiate parties, and spreading the word.

Information on Premarin & PMU foals
This page contains both sides of the premarin issue in order for you to make up your own mind about it.  There are also links to pages of people who have been to Canada and visited some of the PMU farms.  We at Rainbow Acres feel that the farmers have a right to make their living, doing what their families have done for years....because they do it in a humane manner and not consider the foals as by-products. We support our sister organization in OR. who is very active (and successful) in finding homes for the PMU foals.

Equine Protection Network
The Equine Placement Network is an organization in PA that is very active in passing legislation for the humane transport of all horses, and putting an end to the abuse and inhumane conditions at New Holland Horse Auction.  Chris Berry has proven to be a driving force in behalf of horses everywhere.
