1 medium size jar maraschino cherries | 1 cup pineapple chunks, drained |
1 cup sugar | 1 pkg. dry yeast |
1 cup canned peaches, drained and sliced |
Combine all ingredients and plce in glass apothecary jar. Stir mixture several times the first day, then once a day for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, it should have fermented enough to use as a sauce. To keep the mixture going, add 1 cup of fruit, alternating between peaches, pineapple and cherries. Add 1 cup sugar every 2 weeks. Wonderful over pound cake or ice cream.
