kfamily Oven Fried ChickenIntro:We love fried chicken but frequently don't want to go to all fhe trouble and mess. Here is an easy way to get that great tasting chicken from the oven. Here's what I use:1/4 Cup butter 1/2 Cup all purpose flour 1 Tablespoon Favorite Seasoning (I use Hunter Spice Salt Free Chicken Seasoning. You can instead use 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon paprika and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.) 1 - 2 1/2 lbs of cut up chicken (Any parts. I prefer Boneless chicken breast with skin on). Here's what I do:Heat butter in rectangular pan in 425o oven until melted. Mix flour and seasonings (see image 1). Coat chicken with flour mixture (see image 2). Place skin sides down in baking dish/pan (see image 3). Bake uncovered 25 minutes for 1 lb., 30 minutes for over to 2 lbs of chicken. Turn chicken and bake until thickest pieces are done, about 20 minutes for 1 lb., 30 minutes for over 2 lbs. (See image 4). recipe adapted from Betty Crocker's Cookbook |
