kfamily Cooking Page

I cook as a hobby. It's a nice break from the computer (and work related) activities. This page contains mostly our favorite recipes, Links to sites containing thousands of recipes, tips and sites describing cooking gadgets.

kfamily's Favorite Recipes

The kfamily Favorite Recipes are usually high fat and frequently low in vitamin. They include:

Lasagna,

Spaghetti,

Taco Boats,

Chicken Enchilada,

Oven Fried Chicken,

Beef Bourguignonne,

Veal Oscar (the Grouch)

and more to come (if we survive). If you don't repeat the ingredients to your guests then they will love it.

kfamily Cooking Links and Gadgets

I get many of my receipt ideas from the internet. I search these sites, and if all else fails I just type in a few keywords or ingredients into Yahoo. Some of these other sites are informative related such as nutrition and cooking gadgets. Let me know if you find any good sites not mentioned here.

YumYum

This site was one of the first I ever came across on the internet with thousands of receipts. I usually can find great ideas here when I am stuck for a menu or want to find something I have heard about.

This is a more recent site that I have stumbled upon when looking for some cooking terms/references. If I can find a more comprehensive site I will update this link.

Bread Machine

You may have noticed a bread machine in the background of some of the pictures above. We love fresh bread and try to make it as often as possible. It never seems to last long. We bought our Toastmaster on sale for my birthday and I have never had any trouble or bad bread.

I have never ordered anything I have seen on tv except for this device. It is a food Dehydrator. It is really cool. Meats, fruits, vegetables and herbs all dry really easy and quickly in this basically low heat oven. It has multiple stacking trays that allow you to dry a little or a lot of food at once.

Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Maker

The best Iced tea I have made at home is with the Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Maker. We have recently worn our first one out and had to buy an new one. I was not able to find anything on the internet from the manufacturer, so I may have to create my own. Stay tune.
