Alexander Dallas and his wife, Elizabeth (See Note 1), in Virginia, had two sons of whom we have knowledge this date (May, 2000), James (who we will follow, primarily, here, and, Robert.

James Dallas, Senior was born in Virginia in October 1778.

Joseph Dallas, was first child and first son of James and Fanny (Personett) Dallas.

James Alexander Dallas, Junior, was born 3 Oct 1806, third child and second son of James and Fanny (Personett) Dallas.

Ezra Putnam Dallas was born 29 Nov 1833, second child and second son of James Alexander Dallas, Junior, and his wife, Elizabeth Cross.

6 Jan 1996 Letter from Elizabeth Brown, a direct descendent of Dorcas, lists lists James as youngest son, with birth mon and yr, death date, death place and first name of wife and est marriage year.
