This sketch will begin to report on the latest information of this very large branch of the Kinnick family. It was documented in 1953 by Nettie Edna Kinnick Waggener when she published "The Kinnick Family: A Genealogical History of the Kinnick Family of America," [4] commonly called "The Kinnick Genealogy."

Additional detail has been obtained on the families of several of the children of George and Hannah. Some of these will be shared in separate sketches, in order to provide more detail. If you have additional information to contribute, comments, updates and corrections, please let me know. We want to include them. The family of George and Hannah Kinnick

George Washington Kinnick was born about 1784 in Maryland, the third child and third son of John and Ann Kinnick. The family moved to North Carolina in 1795, when George was about 11 years of age. In 1806, at the age of 22, he married Hannah Grimes.
