Graduation

• You have brains in your head.
  You have feet in your shoes.
  You can steer yourself
  Any direction you choose.
            Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go!
  
  
• I do not know beneath what sky
  Nor on what seas shall be thy fate;
  I only know it shall be high,
  I only know it shall be great.



• A poem for a graduating daughter
  Young woman, my daughter,
  my joy and my heart,
  You've reached the end
  only to find a new start.


The world sees the young woman
with her charm and her smile,
but behind the woman,
I will always see the child.


• Remember that overnight success usually takes about fifteen years.



• Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul.
  Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.



• Rest not! Life is sweeping by;
  Go and dare before you die.
  Something mighty and sublime,
  Leave behind to conquer time.



• If you want a place in the sun, you'll have to leave the shade of the family tree.



• The explanation of triumph is all in the first syllable.



• Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.



• You won't discover new lands unless you lose sight of the shore.



• The uncertainties of the present always give way to the enchanted possibilities of the future. You are destined for greatness. Enjoy your journey and remember to have fun.
