Hi everyone! I'm Selina and I'm from Ipoh, Malaysia. This is my first attempt at putting up a homepage. It sure is hard work and it sure takes up loads of your time. This page was started early 1996. At that time I was doing my STPM in St. Michael's Institution, one of Ipoh's most active and popular schools. It is also being preserved now, as a historical building as it survived the World War 2. It was used as one of the bases besides my high school, SM Main Convent, of the Japanese when they invaded Malaya. With it's flood lights at night , it is really majestic.

In my two years in SMI, I had the opportunity to serve my school in many fields. One of them was to serve as a prefect. I was also actively involved in the annual school play, the Interact Club, debates, the annual School Magazine, Economics Club, Tennis and Table Tennis Club. The experiences in SMI were one of a kind, and gladly , I would say, I have inherited the Michaelian spirit 'Once a Michaelian , always a Michaelian!'

I attended an AIDS Awareness talk, by Datin Marina Mahathir, daughter of Malaysia's Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohd. It was superb and the response was good. SMI's prefectorial board had the opportunity to have a picture taken with her as we were on duty that day. She is Malaysia's ambassador in the battle against AIDS and has been claimed to be the best spokesperson in this combat.

I did my high school years in SM Convent, rival school of SMI in the annual Rotary debates. Convent was famous for it's choir, choral speakers and debaters. SMI, on the other hand, was for its fantastic band, Chinese Instrumental Group, the tennis team and debaters as well. I was very much involved in the choir and the Interact Club back in Convent. My high school friends were the best friends I could have. After all, these are the people I grew up with. Nobody knows you like they do. We used to have a 'Slam Book', a book whereby everybody will pen down names of friends that is most appropriate to the category given, ie Most Popular, Best Kisser, Biggest Flirt. I started one via email this year. Click here to view the results.

I am now studying at HELP Institute, Damansara. I'm currently pursueing an external degree in Economics and Management with University of London. As this is a new chapter of my life, I have put up a page for my classmates at HELP.

I love music - Carol King, Mariah Carey, Abba, Carpenters, a little of Oasis ,U2 and Suede, Boyzone, Spice Girls, Marc Anthony, Steps, and Michelle Nicastro.

I love broadway musicals too - Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera tops the list. Watched them both in London, would love to watch them again! I also love Grease.

I also love to perform - Meet my a-capella group. Andrew(bass), Lee Yin(lead), Chun Yew(tenor) and me. We have performed at some occasions, the most auspicious being my brother's wedding. I also performed for the then Agong, the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah at a Rotary Club function in 1995. I think he is the best looking Agong around! Click here to find out what else I've done.

My other favourites:- Calvin and Hobbes, Archie comics,Hershey's chocs, Haagan Dazs, McD's, Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, Ally McBeal, Friends, X-Files,Harry Potter, taking photographs, Roald Dahl, karaokeing, playing pool but I like snooker better, dolphins, roller coasters, Sea World and of course, Disney! I also love my Chelsea scrungee, 'lil Patrick , Bubba and my photo albums!

I used to compose my own music. I did one for an Environment campaign in Convent. I also wrote one for the prefects Leadership Training Camp (S.M.I) with Vivienne and one for Fung Lui during her campaign for Lady Head Prefect. I have a self-recorded album for the Environmental Week with my friends and I singing all the environmental songs. Recorded at my house with the help of some Michaelian AVA members. At that time I was in Convent, now I know where the recording equipment came from! :)

I love FOOD! - oysters, chee cheong fun(only if served Ipoh style),guava, hainanese chicken rice , pasta, Mos Burger, my all time favourite fast food outlet, McD's! I love Jap food and Italian salad! I like gelati! YUmmm!

I play tennis, table tennis and a little bit of squash. I went for fencing lessons once, but due to certain inconvenience, I couldn't continue.

I took up violin lessons once , but I can roughly remember how to play the C major scale, I can do that too on the flute!

My doggie, Shih Tzu , who is unfortunately in Doggie Heaven now, was really cute. Her name means 'Lion' in Mandarin. It is also the type of her breed, from Tibet , China. Smart and obedient she was. We would play hide and seek together, I hide, she seeks! During the holidays, she would come to my room early in the morning , around the same time everyday and jump on my bed. As soon as she understood that I wasn't going to wake up from her licking my face and pawing at me, she would sleep at my feet.

I have two dwarf hamsters, D and S, short for Demand and Supply. Named them that as where there is demand, there is supply. They're inseparable!

I love sentimental novelties - my collection of photographs at almost every occasion, homemade cards, personalised gifts, own book of thoughts...etc...etc...etc....(The King and I)

I want to go whale watching, hopefully next year in Australia. Also waiting to get a scuba diving license.

Well, you've met me , now meet my Wacky-Backy Friends!

Also, meet Student Affairs Commission (my prefects commission in SMI)
