Introduction

The 5th Darlington Boys' Brigade is based at Cockerton Methodist Church in Darlington.And was founded in 1966.

It have always been a small company but, have always have had a high retention rate. ie. Most of the boys who have started in Anchors, or Juniors have gone through the ranks.

The Company also has a constant number of boys going for, and gaining the Queens Award. We also offer the Duke Of Edinburgh award scheme. At the present there are boys and officers going for the Silver & Gold Awards.

The usual Parade night (for the company section) comprises of Falling In, Inspection, Drill, Bible Class, Badge class and Games.

We also have been and are going to go:

1. Hiking - Mostly in the Durham/Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors
2. Camping/Activity Breaks - Again in the locality
3. Canoeing, Climbing, Swimming etc.
