Do you remember our song?
It was playing so softly
When we first heard it a long
Time ago in the city.

Many years have passed since then,
But I still hear it sometimes,
The melody's unchanged and
It makes me wish our love rhymes;

The lyrics are for young hearts
Who want to stay together;
There's a spell which never parts
For those who believe forever.

The song sings after youth's gone,
And love still waits many days
Hoping fervently that one
Memory will open your eyes.

Now, I hear the song again
Bringing back one memory,
It's a sad one and in vain,
'Twas when you said no to me.
