WET 32: Pillar of the Community (finally?)To create this image, I selected one of the brick "posts" from the WET original, then trimmed it down on a transparent background to make my pillar image. I then (staying in the same "rainbow mode" that I was in last week!) colorized several copies of the pillar. Now I lined the pillars up carefully across an image wide enough for 20 copies. I put them in rainbow order across the image, mirroring every other one so the transition wouldn't be so abrupt, then did some pixel by pixel color changes at the joining points so they would blend together even more smoothly. Next I made a new image and began pasting copies of the line of pillars in rows, reversing some and staggering them so the colors were positioned differently. In one row I superimposed my special image over one of the colored images. The special image started out exactly the same as the original for the rainbow pillars. But I then used "sharpen more" two times, "emboss" once, and then "hot wax" (using a pale blush pink color) once. I did not KNOW I would end up with the famous face that resulted, but I certainly recognized it when I saw it. (Talk about eerie and supernatural?? Brrrr.) After adding that famous face, I finished the front rows of pillars.
I then made a large background image the same size, using the spray paint to poof a heavenly blue sky with innocent clouds floating in it. I also created a small image with the small brick pattern in a deep blue and added a misting of the sky color over the selected mortar joints. I used this small image as a pattern fill to make the "floor" of the background. (Nope, not streets of gold...just tarnished silver. LOL) Now I copied my main multiple-pillar image and pasted it as a new layer over the background. I saved it as a .psp file, then merged layers and saved a copy as a .jpg for the web. Ta Da. :)

![]() This is a half sized version of the original image Christina posted for us to use. Thank you! |
This image was created using Paint Shop Pro 5, especially for the WET #32 project.
It is my original creation based on the original WET image obtained on-line
through alt.binaries.comp-graphics.
Thank you!
