"William(Billy) Edward Wirth was born on June 23, 1962 in New York City, New York. He spent his high school years at Collegiate High Prep School. His college years were spent at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Billy majored in economics and business. As a member of the Brown University track team Billy set a track record for the high jump. He was discovered by the photographer, Bruce Weber, while he was scouting the campus for new fresh faces. Afterwards, Billy did a few modelling gigs, and was featured in several magazine spreads for Details, Detour, Sears, US and numerous others. He also had a bit part in an early Pepsi Commercial. He would soon start a movie career.
At the present Billy is still doing the things that he loves most of all: Directing(KISMET&MACARTHUR PARK), Music, Art and Acting. But not necessarily in that order!"
Billy loves to write music..and presently all his fans are awaiting the arrival for his music artistry and participation with the new groups, "DustNBones 2000", and "The Cronies".
Billy also loves to read and create photographic artistry. As a Californian, for twelve years and counting, Billy can most likely be found in the mountains, or desert between shooting movies.
Billy is a strict vegetarian, and also practices and embraces the spiritualism of Zen (in the moment philosophy), and the Native American culture of earthy living and lifestyle.
Billy is the middle son, with two other siblings. He spends alot of time with both of them, and is very close to his family.
One of Billy's dreams is to direct movies, so last year he got his wish when he directed a thirty minute short, entitled, "Kismet". I personal purchased the movie, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The directing was awesome, acting excellent, and the movie flowed at a fast pace.
Futurewise....MACARTHUR PARK has been chosen as an entry into this year's 2001 Sundance Film Festival in the "Dramatic" category. More details will follow in the months to come!!!
Billy has finished filming the movie, "REUNION", which was shot in Ojai, California. Stay tuned for more details....!
