The Sony Playstation
The Sony Playstation was released in 1995 and ever since then it has dominated the games market. Outselling the Saturn, the playstation now has a firm hold on the computer games industry in Britain. With brilliant titles like Tekken 2, Sould Blade, Formula 1 and Resident Evil the Playstation should continue to be a force to reckon with in years to come.
The Sega Saturn
The Sega Saturn was also released in 1995 but failed to sell as well as the Playstation. I bought my Saturn in late 1996 and I'm happy to say that I'm very happy with it. Although it may not have as much backing as Sony, Sega have managed to release top quality games such as Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally, Virtua Cop 2 and very soon the long awaited Fighters Megamix will be available so I shall be sticking with my Saturn.
Nintendo 64
This machine will be on the market from March 1st and should sell quite well. With games like Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64, the Nintendo 64 should dominate the games market but whether it does or not remains to be seen.
I have decided to do a small section on Streetfighter Alpha 2 section. Here are the characters:
ADON:He's entered the tournument because he thinks he's the true Muay Tuay champ. HE's here to challenge Sagat, once his teacher.
AKUMA:Akuma unleased the devil within him and with it he found the power to destroy his teacher.
BIRDIE:Birdie has heard about the organisation Shadowloo and he wants a piece of the action so he decides to enter the tournament so he can prove himself.
CHARLIE:Charlie has come to capture M.Bison on behalf of the US army.
CHUN LI:Chun Li has entered the tournament because she knows that Bison knows something about the mysterious death of her father.
DAN:Dan has entered the tournament to try anf find Sagat. Sagat killed his father years ago and Dan has come to take revenge on Sagat.
DHALSIM:Dhalsim has entered the tournament to try and find the link between body and the mind.
GEN:Gen is in the tounament because he's trying to find Akuma to defeat him once and for all.
GUY:Guy is in the tournament to try and find Bison who is trying to wipe out his klan.
KEN:Ken wants to challenge his childhood friend Ryu after Ryu had beaten them when he was younger. The only thing bigger than Ken's fighting ability is his huge ego.
M.BISON:M.Bison possess' psycho power and wants to enter the tournament because he knows that if he wins it, he'll take over the world.
ROLENTO:Rolento has a little army which he has recruited, he wants to take over America with a dictatorship like attitude.
ROSE:Rose has heard about M/Bison's psycho power and hears how eveil he is so she only believes in good and believes that it is her duty to stop Bison.
RYU:Ryu has entered the tournament because he wants to find the ultimate challenge and until his search ends, he won't be satisfied.
SAGAT:Sagat has entered the tournament because he wants ro reclaim the championshipand avenge Ryu for the scar he gave him in the first tournament.
SAKURA:Sakura is a big fan od Ryu and while her school friends warn her not to enter, Sakura ignores them for a chance to fight her idol.
SODOM:Sodom was once part of the mad gear gang and wants to enter the tournament in hope of starting up the gang again.
ZANGIEF:Zangief has come from Russia to enter the tournament so he can prove that Russia is a truly great country.
