The Really "Interesting" Poetry Pages

If you read my bio page, you'll understand the meaning of the word "interesting" as it applies here. This is poetry written by the denizens of the newsgroup alt.fan.dave_barry, to which I am a frequent contributor.

(If you know anything at all about the gentleman for who the newsgroup is named, you will have a general idea of the kind of poetry you will find here. It's irreverant, it's funny, and it's not gonna scan, neither. So there. Hmmph. If you don't know anythin about Dave Barry, then you should go find out immediately before you are visited by two large, beefy squirrels named Vito and Tyrone. And just to be safe, better lock up those peanuts you've got hidden on the third shelf--the ones behind that jar of artichoke hearts, and next to the Fruit Loops...)

There are three pages of stuff you can read: a haiku page called "Take My Haiku, Please!", a page of poems which insult various countries of the world called "Atlas Snubbed" (don't ask--it was fun while we did it,) and another page of poem parodies called "Vice Verses."

Just remember, this is all in the spirit of humor and fun, and not to be taken in the least seriously. However, f you must complain, do it in Old Norse or Gaelic. That's usually good for a laugh, and we can make fun of your pronunciation and spelling.
