The Honors Association of Asian-American students [HAA-AS] is an alliance of honors students united by their common goal of preserving their cultural identity, and expanding their social and academic opportunities. HAA-AS provides a forum in which each member has the opportunity to creatively share his or her own individual experiences with others, and where members of the group have the chance to develop through the support of one another. Ultimately, the mission of HAA-AS is to provide a positive medium in which the members have the support necessary to promote cultural awareness within their comminutes to understand and to be proud of their own ethnic backgrounds, and to achieve academic excellence.

HAA-AS info provided by Yvonne Tom. Well said!

The hyperlinks on the left will lead to two essays from fellow HAA-AS members, Dandy Wong & Yvonne Tom. They were lucky enough to be awarded scholarships for their work. [Now, exactly how much of the $6000 they got is still unknown to me, but I won't ask!] Anyhow, I read them as I retyped them onto .html documents, and I had to admit that I liked both of them! Both demonstrated their respectible strengths and what really got to me was their emotion! I am honored to have their work grace onto this webpage.
