Scholarship Committee Outstanding Community [b. 12/05/99] |
Joe Chung Fong, Instructor at College of San Mateo The Scholarship Committee is comprised of representatives from various organizations and students in the Bay Area. The scholarship is opened to everyone, regardless of race, gender or religion. One of the main goals is to offer scholarships to merited college students. The merited students are those who have excelled in academic performance, community services, financial needs, etc. With the support of everyone here tonight, we were able to implement a new program this year to also encompass high school students. The Committee wants to be inclusive in reaching out to a wide range of deserving students, not excluded to them. The Scholarship committee recognized and support those talented students periphery to academia 1999 Scholarship RecipientsBequeathed by Asian Pride Enterprise Bequeathed by Under Graduate Honor Computer Association Bequeathed by The Society of Cultural Intellects Bequeathed by National Integrated Cultural Educated Asian-American Society Bequeathed by Bay Area Asian-American Cultural Society Bequeathed by Asian-American Chinese Workers of the County and City of San Francisco Other Scholarship Recipients: ***--Noted HAA-AS member!
