- People Who Live in Glass Houses Shouldn't Throw Stones of the
Week:
Clueless and Co. (team RR)'s warning hiss to an absent Los about there being
"Serious Issues" if he doesn't return was hypocritical to say the least. So there'll be "Serious Issues" if
Los takes a hike, but (as far as I can tell) there'll be no "Serious Issues" for the Pigster blowing the
team $6,000 bucks on a smoke?
- Contrivance of the Week:
Despite her irritating whines, Amaya's
conspiracy theory regarding the snake wrangle mission did carry a few points. For starters.. team
Road Rules' victory speeches were rather low-keyed, lacking any exhilarence... as if they
were expecting to win. Conspiracy buffs speculate that RR's trailing on the scoreboard
would isolate core RR fans--discouraging them from tuning in every week (translation=low
ratings); so B-M rigged the snake wrangle mission with neon green snakes for team RR and
camouflage ribbon snakes for team RW. See the comparisons, or lack thereof? Level playing
field my butt!
- Bad Dejavu of the Week:
Team RW takes a dive on the
Kewl scale this week with their reversion back to their misfit roots of the first challenge. Amaya's
gloating/whining act becomes intolerable after five minutes; Heather B-quiet does a lot of yelling to
no a vain; Kat claims that she has no experience with animals; and all Ponyboy can do is deliver a
bunch of cameos expressing how much his team really sucks! < SPOILER >No wonder they end up
losing!< / SPOILER > When team RR loses, they blame themselves; when team RW
loses, they everyone BUT themselves!
- Foreshadowing of the Week:
This week we're treated to more
shameful mudslinging in the Amaya vs. Clueless mini-arc that would make this year's presidential
candidates green with envy. In response to RW's defeat at the snake wrangle, Clueless gives
Amaya a few pointers on learning to take a hit and keep on chugging; to which Amaya accuses
Clueless of jealousy cuz she doesn't have he own set of "Twins" to show off as well. Ugh, nice
comeback Amaya, very nice. If someone were to ask me who I'm rooting for at the moment, I'd
plead the 5th!
- Punch Line of the Week:
During the "Truth or Dare" game Holly
asked Piggy if she's gotten any "action" on this trip; to which the Pigster replied, "No" Ha!
Why am I not surprised.
- Filler of the Week:
Was there any logical reason for Kefla's
walk-on walk-off guest appearance other than to serve as morale officer for team RR? And
even though B-M's attempt here was far more productive than their last
stab at morale boost, Kefla's spot could very well had been substituted by your typical
nameless intern of the week. Sure, the clue said "Prepare to meet an "old" friend" but apparently
B-M's forgotten how many seasons they've done. How about a cameo from "old" Shelly, or
"old" Devon, or "old" Antione? Don't get me wrong, Kefla's one of my favorite characters, but his
appearance here really wasn't necessary.
- Filler of the Week--First Runner Up:
Even though the scavenger
hunt came across as a last-ditch effort (comparable to the one in S.O.S' "Ho Chi Minh's Millions"), it was surprisingly rather tolerable; however, lose the annoying drag
queen skit which has become nothing more than obnoxious slapstick for BMP! And why is it that the
guys are put into these compromising positions of having to parade around like a bunch of clowns? I
smell abit of gender bias here!
- Editing Room Floor Material of the Week:
Heather B-quiet's raving
about team RW's Party Hard mentality hinted of numerous club visits, yet only two
have made it from the editing booth to the small screen: Teck's big night out in "Stratos-FEAR" and the guys' five second skit at a strip club early in the
episode. Someone's been slacking off, and it isn't just the Real World!
