Among the Catalan political parties there are Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya, ERC (Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya), IC (Iniciativa per Catalunya), PI (Partit per la Independència), PSC (Partit Socialista de Catalunya) and Unió Democràtica de Catalunya, led respectively by Jordi Pujol, Josep Lluís Carod-Rovira, Rafel Ribó, Àngel Colom, Narcís Serra and Josep A. Duran i Lleida.
