Catalans enjoy going to the theatre now and again. The play "Terra Baixa", by Angel Guimerà, is one of the most popular. "Manelic", its protagonist, is sure to attract your attention.

There are many theatre companies in Catalonia. The list includes: "La Cubana", "Els Joglars", "Dagoll Dagom", "Comediants", "La Fura dels Baus", "Companyia del Teatre Lliure", and the "Centre Dramàtic de la Generalitat".
