We should not be worried about this too much and should carry on with life. There is no point in getting worried about something that we aren't sure of. " Kumar eng70448@nus.edu.sg |
What is being perceived as the world here? Is it humanity, or the physical world itself? Regardless, each will destroy the other, I guess... earthquakes, fires, ice masses melting....etc our own favoured contribution to the mass destruction of the world - pollution, wars.. the list goes on.. however, if it is just humanity that will perish, I have great hope.... the next generation of creatures that will rule the world will possess far more intelligence than us.. and... if we do not destroy the world now, with our intelligence, heck, the next kind will do it! But I certainly do not think so. Prophecies might predict. But ultimately Man has the innate nature to survive and it is this desire to survive that will ensure survival of Mankind. " Aravinth boy1942@hotmail.com |
Everywhere, every moment there is some kind of disaster (either man-made or natural) taking place in a big scale when compared to how it was years ago...and with the development of chemical warfare and nuclear weapons i can only forsee a deadly third world war which can put an end to this world... I do wonder n have overheard others saying that the new millenium will see world's destruction.I merely shrug those off in a way to reassure myself that the world's end could not be so near. But looking at the means with which the world is functioning now, it does put across the message that destruction is not far away. We see forceful and violence means with which nations try to solve problems....we see civil wars fought to protect factions of society...we see the unpredictability of nations' progress which could all be destroyed in the light of financial downturn.....These are not all! Moral values, preservation of heritage, cultural values are all seemingly fast disappearing in this modern society of ours. The Seven Sins appropriately describe today's mankind. Thus, with such a situation prevailing in today's kaliyug,it seems unavoidable to have thoughts abt the world's end! " Gowry art60613@nus.edu.sg |

However , looking at the way things are happening, it would not be wrong to expect destruction. Lifes are being lost in the hundreds and in the thousands. Lost because of neglect , because of the forces of nature , lost because of inhumanity ,lost because of countless reasons. Nothing is permanent. Life especially. And who is to say that the Life of the world is any different. Lastly , I do feel that when the end comes , it will not be in the middle of chaos. It will be when there is apparent peace. But live not expecting the worst. Live expecting the best you make out of all you have. " Anonymous nath772@hotmail.com |
