I pondered and deliberated over boxes of cards.
Had to fight the urge to put lights in my yard,
because the trees WANTED trimming,...
but just not that kind,
and the tumbleweeds made the house hard to find!!Now I KNOW that`s not funny, I`ve probably lost face,
and I`ll have to go some,
to get back in the neighbors' good grace!But my, regular, yard man "flew the coop," and I hired another to pick up dog ____
"Only $4.95," it said,..... on his sign
Sure hope nobody ELSE fell for that line!
I paid before I took a look...
then, the words I said, (!#@$#!),would fill a book!I was sick with a cold and my mind started to wander... as I waited for Santa,Blitzen and Donder
SO was really hard to get in the race... while Alka Seltzer... fizzed in my face!!Been watching "Home Shopping,"on my TV
and buying gifts like CRAZY...
but they`re all just for ME!
Am starting to worry as the day gets so close if there will BE any presents for those I love most!I sent each stamped addressed envelope,minus the card...
So let`s just say that day was pretty well marred!
Now the cards are cheap... but the stamps pretty steep!
I had a big stack...quite a few
and since I`d bought BIG cards
they were double stamped too!!My friend, Dinahdoo, said "Just call them and say... if you`re GOOD,you`ll get the CARD next Christmas day!!"
Well,folks,it`s getting dark and they didn`t get my check,so I have no light!
Best I jump into bed and cover up tight!
But before I disappear,clear out of sight...
