NARRATION (01/02/02):
The ladies step out and it's amazing how your breath just seems to stop in your throat. Ryloth suddenly and vividly remembers why he never thought Tegra would even turn her silvery eyes to him. And if every assassin looked like Rose, you'd lay your own chest on the blade just to get that close. The fact that the elven females are wearing loosely tied white robes and obviously nothing else does nothing to help wayward imaginations.
The females find a place to sit and wait in the hallway, and the strange man ushers the guys inside before their brains can begin working again. There follows the same treatment the women got, but adjusted for the guys tolerance level. Each of you is bathed and your hair is washed. None of you can help lingering in that hot water a bit yourselves, though the steam, relaxation and gentle rhythm of the water do nothing to stem the flow of thoughts you were having a moment ago outside the room. The gentleman administering to you is smart enough to know you won't allow it any other way, so he places the oils in the steamy water right before you get out, softening your skin that way instead of with a rubdown. Any of you in need of a trim, shave, etc, receives it expertly. An altogether enjoyable experience that some of you may have never had, and if you have, you wonder why you waited so damn long to have it again. The little man behaves himself rather well while taking care of all of you, though you can't see how he manages to be everywhere at once in the room. When you have been thoroughly cleaned up and found satisfactory, he presents you with white robes of the type the women were wearing, and ushers you out the door.
Once the guys come out, and everyone's wearing their white robes, the door that you couldn't open before now opens easily. You enter another small hallway. There's a door to your left, one to your right and one straight ahead. Though the walls on your right and left are normal and straight, the wall in front of you is convex, the door in the center of the bow. You hear some commotion coming from the door to your left, and it is slightly ajar. Knowing everyone here, you'll open it to find out what's going on.
This room is quite large when you walk in. The wall to your left curves, as if it is the outside of large circle. In the center of the curved wall is another door. The other walls are the way a regular room is. At the far end is a huge fireplace with various pots, pans and cooking utensils surrounding it. In the center of the room is an ornate dining table with ten chairs. Place settings are set out for six. There is a grandmotherly human female cooking away at the fireplace. She looks up for a moment, cocks her head to the side and proclaims, "There'll be no dry rations at MY table...and you'll conduct yourselves in an orderly fashion. I'll let you know when supper is, you can go sit in the sitting room..." pointing at the door in the curved wall.
Entering this room, it's a 60 foot diameter circular room. In the very center of it is a 5 foot diameter firepit. There are large floor pillows scattered about the room along with rugs, large lounging chairs, reclining couches, etc. The other thing you notice when looking up is that this is a tower. Immediately to the left of where you walked in at is a spiral staircase which leads up to a platform at the top, about 100 foot up. There are three other doors in this room. You came in the west door. There is one straight across from you, one on the north and one at the south. Over at the east door there is a clothing and weapon rack. All of your possessions are laid across it. Everything has been thoroughly worked over, cleaned, patched, polished, sharpened. Beside the north door is a full size 6 foot mirrot, encased in what appears to be pewter metal. There are various filigree carvings around the mirror with a three dimensional carving of a small dragon at the top, as though embracing it.
Twit suddenly appears, hovering in front of your group, eating some sweetbread. He is so clean his scales seem to glimmer, and he looks back at all of you looking at him. "What, you think you're the only ones who get to clean up every once in a while?!?..." About this time, he spots the mirror, and flies over to it at once, his "wwwooowwww!" ending as he gets to it. Stopping to hover again, he looks back at Tegra with what is a dragon's approximation of a smile. "What do you want to see?"
Ryloth:
Feeling very much like a wet dog, Ryloth pouts in his seat until twit speaks up. His eyes brighten, "May we see for ourselves, or must you watch for us, Twit?"
Twit:
"No, you can see for yourself..." He pauses for a moment, still hovering. "Well, what do you want to see?"
Scarlet Fox:
Well after the ladies come out, I have to remember I am married. Once we get in the room I enjoy the whole experience. Then once we enter the sitting room I go over to the pillows near the mirror. As I listen to Twit and Ryloth, I wonder what Twit is telling us. "Twit I would like to see my family, Szordrin, Litita, Carella, and my wife. I do not know where they all are but I would like to see them again. To see how they've grown and what they have done. I also think Litita has children I would like to see my grandchild(s). That is all I need to keep me going another 150 years."
Alaister:
A bit confused with all this attention. I keep my senses alert, casting a spell know alighntment on the these new people. after the ladies come out, I go in with my other companions. Trying to enjoy the luxury of the bath and cleaning up. " What do you suppose this is all about?", looking towards the rest of the men in the party.
NARRATION (01/04/02):
Well it takes Ali a few moments to cast the spell. Twit looks at him. "What are you doing? Ohhh I see you people think these guys are real, well they kinda are, they are magic servants, they can't harm us you could probly walk right thruogh them if you really tried. Fox you want to see your family huh well then here ya go."
The mirror shimmers a little bit and then you are looking in a house. It's small nothing to really write home about but it is cozy. There is a fire going and there is a group of elfs gathered around the table that sit in the miidle of the room. They are all there Fox's whole family. You cant n hear what they are saying but you can tell that the talk is funny and there are all laughing. After a few more moments the mirror goes back to normal. Twit looks around "Well who is next?"
Zydrek:
I take the bath is stride and it does feel good. I guess, from what the others have said, that it was needed. It does feel rather good though. I look at Alaister when he asks if any of us knows what is really going on. I think about it. When Fox asks to see his family and Twit shows them to him in the mirror, I wonder if we should ask Twit if the mirror can show us where Emma is and the orb too. If this mirror can show us whatever we want, we may get a lot of answers to our questions...
NARRATION (01/05/02):
Twit looks over a Zydrek, "What a great idea big guy." Twit then looks back at the mirror "Show me Emma."
Once again the mirror shimmers for a moment. There are torches that burn on the rock walls, There is a throne made of bones, there is a dias about 5 feet in front of the throne and there you see the orb. Behind that with her arms hanging from chains you see Emma. there is no-one in the room. Twit gasp a breath and says one word "daddy". In a small flash Shand begins to appear standing beside Emma. She starts to say something but he puts his hand over her mouth. He then undoes her chains and graps her before she falls to the ground. Another small flash and there is a drawf standing there also. He is in full plate mail, his hair and bread are a deep red and his bread is braided with white beads. He is carring a double headed war hammer, you have never seen or heard of a finer looking weapon. As Shand is helping Emma she walks over and picks up the orb. she glows for just a second then she looks like her usual young self. The drawf turns just has three people dressed in black clothes and chain mail, with red cloaks comes in the room. They draw there weapons and charge after the small party. Two are stopped right away in there tracks by some unseen force, the third goes for the drawf but the drawf is to fast. He bolcks the blow of the swords, spins the war hammer in his hands and lands two massive blows in the red cloak man chest. More of the attakers come rushing in and Zarbor is with them. Zarbor can be seen saying something, Shand just smiles at him. A portal opens beside Emma, and her with Shand walk in the portal. The drawf running to the portal with attackes right behind him stops and hits his war hammer on the floor. The whole room seems to shake and you can tell he is laughing when he steps in the portal and dissapears. Before the image goes back to normal there is a figure that walks into the room where Zarbor and his minions are standing, its an elf. The one that was taking care of Ryloths and Tegra's daughter.
Alaister:
Maybe the mirror can show us where there is, I mean from a birds eye view, or from a panoramic view. Thinking about the scene that just happened, then looking at the mirror. If anyhting appears, maybe we can transport though the mirror as well, I try to put my hand up to the glass, and touch it gently.
NARRATION (01/08/02):
Nothing happens with the mirror Ali. It feels and looks just like a mirror.
Tegra:
Tegra watches the mirror, sighing with relief at seeing Shandassar whole, and then rescuing Emma. Curiosity over the dwarf causes her to turn toward Alaister. "Do you know who that is?" Before he can answer her, she sees the elf in the mirror. Her concentration suddenly focuses on it alone. Any doubts that the years have softened her are cast out instantly, her look colder with rage than any of you have seen before, including Ryloth. She calls softly as the mirror fades, "Memnoch, Sari..."
Two large forest leopards leap silently into the room, one to each side of Tegra, their coats slightly wet. With no explanation about the great cats, Tegra lays a hand on each of their heads, gazing into the mirror. "Show me my daughter, Erin."
NARRATION (01/08/02):
The Mirror shimmers some then seems to go over a landscape. Racing along, it goes over the ocean, then some plains, then goes over a mountain range and comes to a large valley, which is deep in forest. In the center of the large valley is a small village. There are several huts and elves walking around doing various tasks. There are several with weapons and a couple with staffs. There are some children playing a game with a ball kicking it around. There is no sign of Erin. The image in the mirror moves again to the woods, and then you see her. She is hiding behind a tree. All at once the wolf that was left with her comes jumping out of a bush and knocks her down, then straddles her, licking her face. Then, out of nowhere, two leapords come out of the tree and land on the wolf. There seems to be a horrific fight but you can tell that the wolf and the cats are not hurting each other. Erin is laughing and clapping her hands together. As fast as the playing starts, it stops. You see the two great cats lay their ears back and the hackles on the back of the wolf come up. The cats run off into the woods as the wolf walks over and stands in front of the young elf. The wolf and the young elf walk just a few feet into the woods and you see the look of horror on the girl. She kneels down to look at the dead elf that is on the ground. It's the elf that Tegra and Ryloth left with their girl. It happens so fast that the wolf is caught off guard. Two orcs come out of the woods with their clubs ready to land blows, but before they can make it, the two cats leap from trees, ripping both of their throats out. You see Erin and the animals all look around as more orcs come out of the woods. The elf stands tall, saying something and then she and her small group takes off running.
The view seems to rise so that you can get the whole picture. Erin running for the camp with the animals surrounding her. At the same time the camp is attacked by droves of orcs. The first wave is beaten off just as Erin makes it there. Then the second wave comes and the number of orc's is double and there is a bigger problem this time. The elves see right away there must be at least 50 drow and 15 dryders that join them in the fight. As the mirror starts to fade back to normal there are three people looking down on the fight from a hill. There is one that is dressed in all black, there is one that is dressed in all red, and there is one that is in red robes with a gold dragon embroidered on the front.
Alaister:
Watching the horror unfold, "Well it looks like we are being drawn somewhere fast. I believe we need to make a choice, we should teleport to your family then to Myth Drannor." Walking towards our items, I begin to put on my gear, strap on my weapons etc. I pull out my spell book, "How do you want to do this?" Looking to Tegra...
Tegra:
Tegra flies past Alaister, quickly donning her clothing and gear and throwing her pack over her shoulder. "I can get us there." The absolute fury in her eyes bars any discussion. Both scimitars out and ready, she paces waiting for the others to get dressed, her cats following like shadows. She kneels down suddenly, and it appears that she is actually talking to the two animals, particularly when they both lay back their ears and hiss as she finishes. Taking something out of her pouch, she then turns to Rose (not knowing what she's doing right now). "I know not what you feel toward our kin being slaughtered, nor my child, nor do I care. But a common enemy we do have of those three on the hill, so if your sword wishes their blood, you are welcome to come."
